Ever felt confused about the different ways Nike releases its sneakers on the SNKRS App? Don't worry; we're here to explain every Drop-type one by one.

1. DAN (Draw)
The Draw is like a virtual lottery. Once you enter within the 10-30 minute time window, Nike randomly selects the winners after the entry period closes. It's all about luck here, as there's no queue, and you can think of it like picking names from a virtual bowl. More entries mean better odds of winning. Nike typically uses Draws for their most exclusive releases.
2. LEO (Let Everyone Order)
LEO strikes a balance between luck and speed, offering a brief window for submission. When a pair drops, you usually have 2-3 minutes to submit your entries. These entries form a queue based on when they were submitted. Nike randomly selects winners at the 2-3 minute mark, so you should get all entries in before. Consequently, it's a mix of luck and being quick. LEO releases are common and similar to FLOW (FCFS) but with a raffle aspect.
3. Flow (First Come First Serve)
This is the classic first-come-first-serve scenario. It's rare for exclusive releases but common for general ones. Shoppers can keep buying until it sells out, often taking time due to higher stock. Nike sometimes uses flow releases for surprise restocks.
4. SNKRS Cam
Receive special access by scanning the correct augmented reality target through your device's camera. The difficulty of this drop type is to identify the correct image, but usually it's only used on unique days like the SNKRS Day.
5. SNKRS Stash
Exclusive access gained by being at specific geo-located spot. Reserved for special releases and collaborations.
6. SNKRS Scratch
Scratch off an image in the App to access the opportunity of buying a certain sneaker. This type typically emerges for special releases or events like the SNKRS Day.
7. SNKRS Pass
Secure a pair via the app and pick up at a Nike store or NBHD store. This type only happens in specific cities for particular releases.
8. Shock Drop
A spontaneous drop offering access to a product. The shock drop is not announced beforehand. It's a sudden, unexpected release, often with very limited stock. This could be a small restock or an early drop for an upcoming sneaker.
9. Exclusive Access
An exclusive invitation! Only selected users receive exclusive access, granting them permission to obtain a particular sneaker. Notifications pop up in the App and on your Feed, but it doesn't guarantee availability. Exclusive access usually happens before the official drop, providing a chance to cop sneakers early. Sometimes, it involves meeting specific requirements.
10. Live Drop
Sneakers drop early through a SNKRS live stream as a reward for users engaged in watching.
